What is your company's image worth to you? Can you place a dollar amount on it? If your building, office, driveway, and sidewalks are ruined by bird droppings, what does that say to your customers and employees. If your business is food related or a restaurant, what would image mean to you? One is forced to wonder how clean a restaurant or kitchen is if bird droppings are outside.

Structural Damage

Pest Birds are not only considered a nuisance; they also cause millions of dollars of structural damage each year. Buildings, roofs, driveways, autos, machinery, HVAC, etc., are ruined every day by the droppings, nesting materials, feathers, and dust that accumulate by roosting and nesting pest birds.

HVAC/Heating, Venting, & Air Conditioning Damage

Pest birds use rooftop HVAC equipment for roosting and nesting sites. If acidic bird droppings that occur from this activity causes millions of dollars of structural damage and can spread diseases throughout the system. The feathers, droppings, nesting materials, and dust that accumulate inside and outside the HVAC equipment. This material can cause bacteria and viruses to build up in the enclosed areas. This material can block ventilation systems and people breathing in this dust and debris are susceptible to Histoplasmosis spores and related fungal agents. Maintenance workers are also exposed to this hazard when they work in or around the machinery.

Other Damage & Fires Caused by Pest Birds

The roosting and nesting habits of pest birds allows material to build up in teh form of nests and debris. These nests damage buildings and roofs every year. Drainage on the roof and gutters can be blocked, which can cause water to dam-up and cause flooding and water damage. Nesting materials are very flammable due to their construction of twigs, grass, straw, and paper materials. When the birds build their nest inside electric signs and HVAC machinery, there is a risk of fire. Nests can also block chimneys and ventilation systems causing airflow and carbon monoxide poisoning.
